It was a real bummer that Sinombre had to drop off the bill because of circumstances beyond their control (we'll have to join forces in the future), but the evening managed to remain a fun affair, with the auricular experimentation of the remaining acts occuring at a leisurely pace...
First, Pidgeon came through with their bludgeoning brand of questionable wholesomeness (how Micah screams like that, I dunno). These kids have a record coming out soon, and from the sounds of the three song demo they were handing out, it's going to be a good one. You'll want to keep your ears peeled for these guys.
Next, SGPB turned out a solid set of our trademark hard-rocking peasant drollery, debuting our newest composition, "E.S.P." Lord Negatron powered through his bronchial infection with much aplomb -- he only coughed at the most appropriate moments; P.F. waded into the audience to wrestle a Snake; Buckley's penchant for whirlwind jumping split kicks was in full effect; and I managed not to pass out while screaming at the end of "Ouroborus" -- barely.
All-in-all, it was a rather satisfactory evening.
